Winding Sticks

Winding sticks are used to check for twist (or wind) in components, as well as cup, and indicate areas that are high and require removing to produce a flat surface. Use with edge tools, such as planes or draw knives, to flatten boards.
My pinch sticks include contrasting indicators and balance spots, and can be ordered in a size to suit the work you do.

Pinch Sticks

Pinch sticks are used to check dimensions. Most commonly to check that the diagonals of a box or case are equal, to ensure that the construction is square when assembling.
My pinch sticks have a captive wedge to lock the dimension, and can be ordered in a size, or sizes, to suit the work you do.
